Bad Cold. The CCCP. Obama the dog.

It was very cold last night on my bike ride home. I didn't wear enough clothes and suffered because of it. As soon as I arrived home, I was shivering uncontrollably. I couldn't hold onto my tea cup and typing would have been impossible. For the first night in the longest time, I didn't go on the computer and I didn't blog.

After a good sleep in a heated room and about four tablets of Tylenol I feel better, but I am still stuffed up and have a slight headache. I am not looking forward to my ride to school, but at least on the weekend I can take the bus to work.

A shocking display of amorality from my Liberal Party friend about the CCCP. To him it is proof that the system works. And politics is dirty business,he added. He then employed the Liberal Party tactics of trying to obfuscate the issue through irrelevancies. He surprised me by saying the system was representative - Party discipline allows that?

What is happening in Canada is a sad thing. A Separatist party has the balance of power in our government. Assurances that they won't have any power as far as making policy decisions are bullshit. It another example of Leftist accomodationalism where we can supposively take the word of the dishonorable types when every indication is that their goals are not the same as ours.

And not only could Canada have separatists in a position of power, it could have its most left-wing government ever with policies that will destroy the wealth-creating ability of what is left of its' private sector. The injunction that government must do something, anything about the business slump shows how ignorant people are of economics.

Do I have a right-wing agenda? I don't know what that is suppose to mean when I am accused of it. I believe free markets create wealth, not governments, and the best government is the smallest. Government tinkering into society creates more problems than it solves. If that is a right-wing agenda that I am proud to have it because it means for an improvement in the human condition. Socialism and Communism and the middle-way don't work.

One of my students calls their dog Obama because it is black. It seemed worthy to put in the blog.
