Second Day of the school year. I had my annoying grade 12 class this morning at 7:20AM. I’ll try a new tactic: I’ll ask questions; I won’t chose any students; I’ll wait a minute for someone to respond. If no one responds, I’ll move on to the next question or teaching point. No more picking out individual students. If the kids don’t want to talk, it’s not my problem.
