As soon as school was finished, I and other Jiangyin foreigners went on a trip of the Jiangyin area organised by The Jiangyin People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries together with the Foreign Affairs Office and the Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises. This international friendship event was entitled "Approaching Xu Xiake and Perceiving the New Era". We visited the former residence of the great Ming Dynasty traveller Xu Xiake, the new rural development of Shanquan Village, the soon-to-be-opened Jiangyin High Speed Railway Station, and the Wine Culture Experience Museum where we enjoyed a rich dinner.
This event was a lot of fun.
