A Compendium of AKIC's Saturday Thinkings

• The current fashion in China is to call stupid people "two" (二).  The student, who told me this, couldn't tell me why this was.  He also couldn't tell me why a green hat was  considered to be the sign of a cuckold.
• Tony plays one parent off the other?
• A student in one of my classes told me that Obama looks like a "monkey."  Oh oh.  That's what you get when doing a conversation class about beauty, you ask about the looks of some famous people.  For the record, none of the students thought Bruce Lee was handsome -- and there I have been with a man-crush on him!  Jackie Chen, they told me, was good-looking when he wasn't a old 45 year old boy (I said ouch! when I heard that.)
• Tony undresses himself before he goes to bed., satisfying a parental fetish while doing so.
• Friday, I had but two classes.  It being so slow, I spent a few hours studying Chinese and designing a blog banner.
• I ask the school-age students if they have lots of homework.  One student told me she didn't have much school homework to do but that her mother had given her lots.  I thought she meant her mother gave her housework, but she added that her mother had some math and Chinese books for her to work through.

• Search for missing Wuxi China Expats from Toronto, Canada continues despite protests, no budget, and lack of searchers
• Chickens.  Someone sent me an email about fowl matters.  I don't know what to say in response.

• On the weather front, it has become cold again in Wuxi -- so cold, that I have to put on the long johns again.
