It was raining heavily last night when I drove to pick up Tony who was working at the Red Lion where he was treated to the sight of South Africans standing together arm-in-arm singing their national anthem before a rugby match against Wales. The match was broadcast on TV. Tony had his first complaining customers who weren’t happy with the size of the shots the bartender had poured for them.
