Thursday Morning

• I was able to watch the Spain - Germany game.  CCTV5 immediately replays the game at 500 a.m. which beats watching it live at 230 a.m.  I am especially glad that Spain won after reading this stupid article.  Apparently, Germany is " not merely sparkling football players, but cultural revolutionaries of high order."  Spain whose greatest achievement was to let their reactionaries win in the 1930s gets my allegiance because of this.
• Meanwhile, my favorite blogger is apparently dying in hospital of cancer.  Alan Sullivan has my prayers.
