If I could do what I’ve done the last two days, I’d have a great life. I was able to be on my own, explore and think. I was bothered by some people but these encounters made my solitude more blissful.
Today, I will eventually go to school. I’ll sit in my rubber room and read, wait for Tony, and then wait for 12:45 PM so I can invigilate for an hour.
My wife Jenny will drive to JJ to help me with some packing.
I now lie on my bed. From my bed, I can see pigeons roosting on a platform for an A/C unit. The buggers can be less than 2 meters away. Being on the fourth floor, I am just by the tree tops where the birds are nesting. I can get the false impression that China is a natural paradise. If I was on the second or third floors, I would see cars parked in cramped conditions and grass that is not well maintained: it bring trodden upon and it having sandy, muddy patches.
