Monday is the best day of my workweek ‘cause I only have a 30 minute class. (Though. that 30 minutes is enough to make me have mass murder fantasies)
Listening to a podcast with Charles Colombe.
He said he would like to see the separation of school and government because education is too important to be left to politicians and the administrative state. Putting it in private hands would be a good idea, I agree.
Conservatives, said Colombe, have nothing to conserve, and don’t seem to conserve anyway. Conservatives never say what they are conserving. Liberals, on the other hand, never seem to free us from anything. Liberals never can say what it is they are freeing us from. Liberals recently were saying that people wanting freedom were idiots. Time for political factions to change labels, don’t you think.
The podcast also talked of grading Trump’s presidency, so far. Colombe being a Catholic criticized Trump’s non-Catholicism but didn’t suffer from TDS. Some of the things Trump is trying to solve are insoluable…
Trump, for certain, is bringing an end to the third American Republic. The first ended with the civil war. The second ended on December 7, 1941.
