Back in Jiangyin
I arrived in Jiangyin almost exactly 24 hours ago after having spent seven days in Wuxi for the Chinese National Day,
I didn’t go anywhere during the holiday because my wife worked during most of it. I probably wouldn’t have gone anywhere otherwise because Covid.
I was teaching a poem entitled Waterfall and I was bemused to discover that some of the kids didn’t know what a waterfall was.
The photo above was taken from the bed of my Jiangyin apartment,

Whom Will I Be Shouting Encouragement for in the Major League Baseball Playdowns?
To be honest I don’t follow the sports ball all that closely. I don’t know hardly any of the players. In baseball, I heard Hank Aaron Judge broke a home run record. I hope he plays for the Twins.
I do know that October is when the baseball playdowns happen to determine the World Series winner, and that it is incumbent on me (or is it uncumbent?) to nominate a team to support.
So here it goes. I will hope good things happen for the Montreal Expos. My second choice, should the Expos be played out, will be to cheer for the Los Diego Padrodgers.

How is Your Sense of Touch?
Mine is gender, affectionate and firm.
What about yours? I hope it isn’t cold, calculating and rough.

Less than Two Days
And it’s back to work for me. So much I didn’t get around to doing.
And it went from hot to cool. I type this in a housecoat.
Tomorrow, I am driven back to Jiangyin.
Rings of Power
Is that the name of the expensive series based on Tolkien’s world?
Anyway, whatever the name of it, I’ve heard it is crap. A bastardization that is a product of the sickness that is the Western world these days.
I actually watched the first five minutes of the series and I gave up on it. It was so modern. The central character is a heroine? It has come to the point when I see women in shows these day, I assume the show is woke and not worth watching.
