Today, we’ve agreed to spend the day in Wuxi. We’ll lay about the apartment and not do much except go out for dinner.
Yesterday, we went to this simple noodle place for dinner. Despite the lineup that was out the door, we were able to get seats. The lineup was for ordering the food.
We then went to the recently opened outlet mall near Casa Kaulins #2. There Tony got a cool Beatles jacket, New York football Jets jacket, and a T-shirt with the famous image of the Beatles crossing Abbey Road. He also got a Brooklyn Nets hoodie jacket.
I finished reading Hunter S. Thompson’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Despite the drug use, it is a well written and entertaining book. It has also inspired me to write more in this blog during the October holiday.
The Outlet Mall was full of stuff going on like performances, bright swirling lights, vendors hawking, and crowds, but it was all so much and none of it could tempt me to focus on it.
We’re staying in Wuxi. Plan to go to Suzhou aborted. The thought of milling about crowds has discouraged us from going anywhere. No authentic experience is worth the hassle of a drive in annoying traffic.
