11:49 View: An Invigilating I Will Go!

An invigilating I will go!  An invigilating I will go! Heigh Ho the Dario!  An invigilating I will go!

I am invigilating a physics lab.

This morning, when I left proctoring, I saw this:

When I left school for lunch, I saw this:

That bird again!

Any who. I took the above standard view photo thirty minutes after arriving for lunch.  In fact, I had lunch and then went to rest in the downstairs bed before taking the above standard view photo.  I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused anyone.

Physics exam 7:30 AM.

5:01 AM View: Good morning!

Marie Le Pen disqualified from running?!?  Sounds like European lawfare.

4:12 PM View: Marc Andreessen

On the recommendation of David Collum on the Coffee and a Mike podcast, I’m listening to Marc Andreessen on a Lex Friedman podcast.  He’s a super smart tech guy who is very well read.  If you really want to understand what Trump and Musk are trying to do, how bad Biden & Harris were, you have to listen to this podcast.  Thanks to Andreessen, I’ll have to re-read the Machiavellians.  I also learned how American legacy blacks are more screwed by Affirmative Action than I ever inspected.  Companies have used immigration to hire smart foreign blacks, leaving the blacks who were supposed to have benefited from AA, out in the cold.  Collum took two pages of notes listening to the podcast.

I’m trying to turn my NGD app into a browser app but it ain’t tworking.

11:52 AM View: Stuff to do

With tomorrow being April 1, I realize I have less than four months to go before I go to Canada.

6:51 AM View: Parting Shot

Sunday evening back in the home country.

At my closet in my classroom now.  As I walked to work, I saw a vehicle making a u-turn by the front of the Yu Shan Wan community north entrance.  The middle of the road barrier that goes in front of the school and prevents parents from engaging in u-turn chaos ends there and so that is where the they make u-turns.  There I saw a vehicle start to make a u-turn.  I was going to cross the road there and the vehicle was blocking me.  The vehicle couldn’t make a u-turn because there was two lanes of oncoming traffic.  The vehicle slowly got into one of the lanes causing the oncoming traffic to swerve into, what for them, was the right most lane.  When they passed and it was clear to make the u-turn, however, the car didn’t move.  I saw that the driver was on his phone..

No classes today.  Just a staff meeting to sit and observe.

I’ll work on my job hunt and my apps:  the cointoss and the Nicolas Gomez Davila app.  The latter is coming along.  Maybe, I’ll screenshot it and show you what I’ve done.  I would like to make it into a web page if I can’t put it on the phone.

5:38 AM View: Monday Sunrise

I could take photos of this view all day.

I only have a staff meeting to go to this day.

5:18 AM View: 5 degree Monday

Low today: 5 degrees Celsius.  Recently, the high had been 33 degrees.  All the EVs aren’t helping one bit.

6:52 PM & 8:28 PM Views: WJ to JJ, 中国 drivers, Last of Shanghai Photo Dump

 WJ view.

JJ view.

You can never hate Chinese drivers enough.

After the game in 上海, we waited around so Tony & Jaden could get autographs.

We then took the subway, Line #1, to the Shanghai train station.

We took the slow train back to 无锡。

It was standing room only.

5:12 PM: Right and Left Lookie, Inside the Shanghai Indoor Stadium

 Then, I looked right:

Work continues on whatever it is, they’re doing,

I then looked left;

Caught a photo of a train without even trying,

Below, are photos from the inside of the Shanghai Indoor Stadium.

Yao Ming’s number 15 was retired and I bought a new hat.

2:28 PM View: How much destruction can one man wrought in a day?

If it’s me on the web, not much probably.  I don’t think I have any real readers.

And the same probably applies to my presence on Social Media.  At the worst, I’m really annoying; at best, I’m a little annoying.  Which is fine since it’s all for a good cause.

The second photo is good for studying Chinese.

Now, more photos from the Shanghai trip.  Below are photos taken in the concourse of the Shanghai Indoor Stadium.

11:11 AM View: Shanghai Indoor Stadium Plaza

Took photos outside of the Shanghai Indoor Stadium.

We meet one of the players outside the stadium before the game.

The statue has a Classical Chinese Communist party aesthetic to it.
