Canada's Olympics will have protestors too.

I think it is time that the Olympics be held in one location for perpetuity.  The countries hosting these events never see the benefits they envisage when they campaign for them.  Only one Olympics has ever made money.  Really, they are a celebration of bureaucracy and government largesse.   Why is it that a sports festival have to take up so much time and resources?  And the Olympics have done nothing for World Peace.

So put the summer games in Greece; put the winter games in Switzerland.  Stop the ridiculous practice of national governments using a sports festival as an excuse to waste tax money.  One location could make money off the games since the infrastructure only has to be built once.  The rest of the world can be spared the politics.

Now, I have just read a story saying that Canada's natives are threatening to disrupt the 2010 Olympics if their grievances are not dealt with to their satisfaction.  One Native leader has compared the plight of his people to that of the Tibetans.

I compare many of the Native leaders in Canada to some race hustlers in America like Al Sharpton and Obama's reverend Wright.  These leaders have all made a good living off pandering to group grievances while doing nothing to help their followers and to instead perpetuate the self-defeating attitudes that cause them to grieve.

I leave it to the Chinese government to inform the Canadian Native leaders about their mistaken thinking about Tibet.

1 - You should just stick to your Vlog, coz you are not a politician, am i right?

2 - Tibet is part of China, i hope you can spot tibet on the map unlike those so-called "free tibet" protesters don't even know where tibet is. isn't it funny?

3 - When we were silent, you said we don't have freedom of speech,
when we are silent no more, you called us brain-washed ****, isn't it hypocritical?

4 - Who said olympic isn't making money for the hosting nation? Do you know Olympic is best chance to attract investments and build infrastructure? if not, why are there so many countries fighting for it? just to WASTE MONEY?
matter of fact, Olympic games has been making money since 1988.

5 - Do you know that Your so-called Chicoms are actually persuading people not to be boycott carrefour and calling people not to be nationalism? patriotism is good, but i'm againsting nationalism... don't fucking think all Chinese are nationalists.

Lastly, i would recommend you to watch two videos. and see for yourself who's been fooled and brainwashed...

Don't worry, none of these two vids are nationalism.

AND LASTLY, I believe you've watched for youself what happnened in Tibet on 14th march, and if that isn't terrorism, what else?

burning and looting shops, beating Han and muslims and even killed some of innocent civillians, if that's not terrorism, what else?
only if they hijack planes and crushed into birdnest or great wall of China etc, then it will be considered as terrorism?

you mean Those people who are fighting for so-called "freedom" can do whatever they like and if government responds to it, then it will is against human rights?
By the way, aren't those muslims around the world fighting for their so-called "freedom" against western countires? but do you call them freedom fighters?
The only difference between Osama and Dalai lama is that one is being supported by the west with Nobel peace prize and another is label as terrorists by the west. IRONICALLY, both were trained by CIA....

Your people blame China for buying oils from Sudan, but why are YOU GUYS keeping quiet when USA fight for OIL by invading those oil rich countries?

This blog entry was merely a passing on of a story I saw in the Canadian press. If you had read closely I have no sympathy for the Native leaders in Canada. They are making money at the expense of their people.

Most government infrastructure projects are a waste of money. Period. I am of the libertarian persuasion.

There is no proof that the Olympics have any good long term effects. If anything they are a misallocation of resources. Politicians love them but you can't count on politicians to do the right thing.

I am glad to see that there is a knowledge of the difference between patriotism and nationalism. I see the stupid effects of nationalism in Canada.
