Part of it is making light of it. Part of it is nostalgia. I still see people purposely putting portraits of Chairman Mao in their homes and cars. I have seem portraits of Stalin in restaurants.
In fact, in Russia, many pine for the days of Communism and think Stalin was a great guy.
That is really, really...odd.

Do you think this is a way to deal with that time, that by making light of it the people can come to grips with those memories?
