Lovely picture that reminded me of my son doing the same thing (singing, talking, making all kinds of noice before sleeping in his jammies) when at Tony's age.
The trick to get babies to sleep without a lot of fuzz is to check that he is all right (no wet diapers, hungry, etc.) and leave him alone. Don't pick him up from the crib even if he cries.
It's been too many years since I had to put a baby to sleep so I have forgotten about the rice cereal trick. Give your baby some milk before he goes to sleep, and put some rice cereal in it. The result is miraculous.

That is what the wife has trained me to do.
ReplyDeleteBut some nights, it takes an hour or more before he falls asleep.
Last night, he was not a problem at all.

ReplyDeleteWe do feed him milk before he sleeps. But of course, that is a source of worry here in China.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't like rice though. Try to give him rice and he runs away. He is a noodle guy it seems.
My other question about the rice cereal is that if you put in a sealed bottle, does he need to drink the rice or the broth you would say?
